With COVID-19 causing so much disruption, it’s great to see the art world finding innovative ways to press forward with community activities.  A great example is the initiative shown by The Combined Art Societies of Sydney (CASS) in moving their art show to an On-line format.

Members of CASS have taken this initiative even further by generously donating their works to enable art lovers to purchase original artwork at a fixed price of just $100.  The exhibition includes framed and unframed works across a variety of styles and mediums by many highly regarded artists at a fraction of the regular price.  Some works have been discounted by more the $1,000.

The exhibition is now in its second week and around 30 paintings have already been sold. If you haven’t yet visited the website, don’t feel that you’ve missed out as many of the contributing artists are kindly donating additional artworks to replace the sold works.
