At OzArt Finder, we’re building a community of Australian artists encompassing painters, printmakers, sculptors and photographers. We aim to make Australian art more accessible by enabling art buyers to find artworks in the artists studio or on display at an art gallery or exhibition.
If you would like to showcase your artwork on OzArt Finder, simply click “Register” under the Members tab and provide us with some brief details of your artwork. We’ll then contact you to appraise your needs and make sure that OzArt Finder is right for you.

Do you charge the Artist a commission on sales or referrals?
Art buyers can buy artwork direct from the Artist or through OzArt Finder. Where an artist makes their artwork available via OzArt Finder we provide a Buyer Service and can co-ordinate viewing, collection or delivery of the artwork as well as holding funds on behalf of both parties. Where an artwork is sold via the Buyer Service then a Service Fee will be charged to the artist. The Buyer Service Fee is 10% of the purchase price (with a minimum fee of $20).
Is there any assistance available to upload my details and images?
Uploading, updating and amending artwork is very easy using our on-line facilities. However, if you’re unfamiliar with digital images, then we’re happy to assist to get you started. Just communicate via email and we’ll arrange to upload the images for you. We’ll then set up your profile and password and step you through the process so that you can take control of your artwork on-line.
What are your TERMS & CONDITIONS for OZART FINDER Membership?
Up to 30 artworks can be showcased under each category on OzArt Finder. For example, if we set up your membership as Painter/Printmaker or any variation of the categories shown on our site, 30 artworks can be listed under each category. For members who have their personal website developed by OzArt Finder, the limit of 30 artworks does not apply. Artists are able to upload any amount of artworks. In most cases, the artwork in an artist’s OzArt Finder profile mirrors the images on their personal website. For further information, see our section; “OzArt Finder Websites”.
As we do not stock any items, all works of art must be shipped by the artist directly to the buyer, either personally by the artist or using professional and insured couriers. Insurance on shipping must always be included. It is the responsibility of the artist to accurately calculate the cost of packaging, shipping and insurance. Once calculated, the amount needs to be confirmed to us via email to enable us to include this cost in our invoice to the purchaser.
All artists who agree to our Buyer Service indicating that their work is available for sale via OzArt Finder must agree to abide by our money-back guarantee provisions. For the protection of both artist and buyer, funds paid are held in our OzArt Finder service account, until such time that both parties are satisfied with the transaction.
All paintings uploaded must be original artwork and all prints must be a numbered and signed limited edition.

How do I purchase an artwork displayed on OzArt Finder?
Once you’ve chosen your artwork, simply click on the Buy Now tab and we’ll reserve the artwork and send you a confirmation email with bank deposit details. On receipt of cleared funds in the OzArt Finder service account we then give the go ahead for the Artist to despatch the artwork to you. Once you’ve confirmed with OzArt Finder that the artwork has been received, and is in good condition, we then release the funds to the Artist.
What happens if the artwork does not state that it is available for sale via OzArt Finder?
Our Buyer Service is optional for the artists, as art buyers can buy direct from the Artist. This can be convenient for both parties when you know, or have previously dealt with the artist and are able to personally collect the artwork and settle full payment at the time of collection.
What happens if I prefer to use your Buyer Service and the artwork does not indicate that it’s available via OzArt Finder?
When an artwork does not specify that it is available for sale via OzArt Finder, the Buy Now tab does not appear. If it is your preference to purchase the artwork via OzArt Finder to alleviate any concerns you may have when purchasing artwork online, please send your enquiry to email@example.com and we will contact the artist on your behalf.
Does it cost extra to purchase artwork using the Buyer Service?
It doesn’t cost the Art Buyer any extra to use OzArt Finder’s Buyer Service. The Service is designed to protect the Art Buyer and the Artist and to ensure both parties are satisfied with the transaction. The Service Fee is deducted from the price paid to the Artist for the artwork. We do not charge any commission or fees beyond the Buyer Service Fee.
Who is responsible for the cost of Shipping and Insurance?
This is usually the responsibility of the buyer; however, it can sometimes be negotiated with the artist who may be willing to cover some of the cost of packaging and postage.
What if I’m not completely satisfied with artwork or if it’s damaged? Do you provide a Money Back Guarantee and Returns Policy?
Yes, at OzArt Finder we provide a money back guarantee on artwork purchased using our Buyer Service. When you notify us of a return, we do not release payment to the artist concerned until satisfactory resolution of your claim. We allow a period of 10 days from the date of dispatch in which you may make a claim and return the artwork to obtain your refund. If your claim is approved we refund the full purchase price of the item, less freight costs (as itemized on the invoice).
Please Note: We do not cover the cost of return freight & packaging costs.
What is covered in the Money Back Guarantee?
- If the artwork on our website totally and clearly misrepresents the item you have received.
- If the artwork is damaged in any way.
- If the artwork you receive is significantly different in size or weight from that published on our website. Please note; overall sizes of works are often approximates.
- If the order is completely incorrect; i.e. the delivered work is not the artwork ordered.
What is NOT covered in the Money Back Guarantee?
- Our guarantee does not cover you changing your mind.
- Minor differences in colour between the item’s photograph on our website and the actual artwork. Please note; due to inherent limitations of computer screens and photographic equipment, we cannot guarantee accurate representation of colours.
- Any malicious damage or damage incurred through inadequate return packaging.

Is there a fee involved for listing Art Events, Tuition, Art Supplies & Framers on OzArt Finder?
No, these listings are all completely free of charge and can be arranged by sending your details to email@example.com. In addition to our free listings, we offer additional promotion through our premium paid advertisements which are displayed on the right hand side of our web pages.
What are the current charges for your Premium Paid Advertisements on OzArt Finder?
Our current format for Advertising spaces & charges are:

What are the differences between Premium & Non-Premium Advertising Spaces on OzArt Finder?
When a viewer clicks on the Display Ad, (displayed on the right hand side of our web pages) a large poster providing more information on the event is displayed along with external links to the advertiser’s website and internal links to an OzArt Finder profile or event. Premium spaces 1 to 4 are fixed and appear across all categories and states. The non-premium ads appear below the premium spaces and are presented in random order (on pages relevant to the subject matter and location).
Can anyone Advertise on OzArt Finder?
No, our Advertising is restricted to Art related events and items only. We are now getting great feedback from our advertisers and hope OzArt Finder can assist you in promoting your Events and Services such as Framing and Art Tuition, your Art Gallery, or Art Products; – anything at all, as long as it is related to our wonderful world of ART.

Do you charge Art Groups to have a listing on OzArt Finder?
Art Group listings are completely free and can provide as much or as little information as the individual group desires. We set up the basic information on each group for the benefit of our viewers to assist them in choosing the most suitable art group to join. Direct links to the group’s website and/or facebook page are provided for the viewer to obtain full details.
Are we also able to display details on our forthcoming Art Shows?
Yes, we encourage this for the benefit of our viewers to find out when and where your next event will be held. Additional information on your rules and conditions, etc., can also be uploaded for artists wanting to participate in the events. In addition to listing these events under your Group’s Profile, these can also be listed under our ‘Events’ tab displayed in our top menu on our home page. These listings are for all artists, art groups and galleries and are listed in date order. Information can either be forwarded to us or can be uploaded by a group member by using our easy on-line facilities. Login details and instructions can be given upon request.
Do you have facilities for our members to showcase their artworks within our Group’s Profile?
Yes, we also encourage this as it gives the general public an idea of the quality of artwork they can expect to see at your Art Shows.
Our Art Society also conducts tuition via regular Art Classes and Workshops. Are we also able to list these classes?
Absolutely, listings for art classes and workshops can be detailed within your group’s profile and similar to our ‘Events’ listings, further details can be displayed under our separate ‘Tuition’ tab on our top menu, which again are listed in date order.
Is there any assistance available to upload new information about our Group and also to upload images of our members’ artwork?

What is the cost for creating a new Website for an individual Artist?
For a short time only, we are offering to create tailor made websites for artists completely free of charge. Once established, a low monthly fee of $20 would apply to cover software updates, full maintenance, registration, hosting and regular backups.
What is the cost for creating a new Website for an Art Group?
For Art Groups requiring a new website, our initial charge is $300 (+ GST) to develop and design the site to your group’s particular requirements. Once established, our monthly fee ranges between $30 and $45 (+ GST) depending on the size of your group. This monthly fee would cover unlimited updates, full maintenance, registration, hosting and regular backups.
Are you also able to register the Domain name for my new website?
If an artist or group does not have the premium international .com domain name, and is available to register, we can handle the .com registration process for you. We charge $15 (+ GST) to register the domain for 1 year and to setup a redirection link. The on-going annual renewal fee is $15 (+ GST). However, you will own the domain name and will have the passcodes to transfer the domain name at any time.
I also use Facebook to promote my artwork. Can I link this to my new website?
Yes, we can also setup your website to take feeds from Facebook and other social media, whereby clicking on a “News” tab will display your Facebook posts.
Will I be able to update my website with new images?
Yes, for artists we provide login facilities to enable you to upload new artworks, and if desired, to use a ‘Blog’ for personal updates on the site. If a new website is of interest to you, please let us know if you would like us to create a no obligation sample website for you to view and consider.
