About the Artist:

Amy Elizabeth

Amy is an Australian emerging artist, born and raised in Queensland.  And while deep down, Queensland will always feel like home, she has now spent slightly more than half her life living in Sydney (and briefly London).  She is currently respectfully living and creating on Cammeraygal Land.

Amy had an early career in Human Resources and then was busy for many years (and still is) raising three boys. She has always had a desire to create and over the years has dabbled in screen printing, water colours, photography and crochet as well as painting in acrylics.

Daniela Minns

My materials take me on an unknown journey every day in my Sydney based studio. I am infinitely inspired wherever I go and this means that my painting practice is always evolving. The constants however are; colour, texture, movement and abstraction.

I work primarily with acrylic paints, pastel, aerosol, ink and pencil on canvas and paper. But I am open to all materials and forms of expression. Abstraction speaks to me because it is loose, wild and free and is not bound by reality.  I am a self-confessed bower bird for sparkles, texture and vibrant colours. I am also a hand built ceramicist, writer, retail consultant and all round creative.

My ultimate hope is that the paintings that bring me joy to create, that this joy is then passed along to you when you live with one of my works.

I live in Sydney, Australia and proudly live and work on Darramuragal land.

Elizabeth Sullivan

Born in New Zealand, I am a stitch artist currently creating from my home studio in Sydney. After relocating from the UK with in 2004, my focus shifted to raising our family, with creative pursuits woven in when possible. It was in 2019, with my husband's support, that I established my dedicated art studio, a tranquil space nestled atop our elevated garden, allowing me to fully immerse myself in my artistic practice.

Inspired by the vast and endless tapestry of nature, I embark on a personal journey of "thread painting," a process where each stitch and bead contributes to an unfolding narrative. My artistic approach is inherently intuitive, a fusion of abstract expressions and semi-realistic details, meticulously built layer by layer using fabric, thread, beads, and sequins. I begin without the constraints of a preliminary sketch, allowing the artwork to organically emerge from the interaction between my hands and the materials. Initially, I respond to the tactile qualities of the materials, allowing each stitch to guide the placement of the next, creating a spontaneous dialogue. As the piece develops, it assumes a life of its own, subtly directing my creative decisions and revealing its inherent form. I then transition into a more deliberate phase, refining the composition, colour palette, and textural nuances to achieve a harmonious balance.

Jo Horsley

Jo has always been a creative misfit, with art and music being a major part of her life from an early age. While her journey initially led her to train as a classical singer in London, life took a series of turns that led her on a different path, living in Sydney, Australia.

Now happily in her forties, after a successful career in the marketing and events industry, Jo has rediscovered her love for art. Spending more time than ever in her Sydney home, with a paintbrush in hand and pouring her energy into creating. You can find her work exhibited at major art fairs and small galleries in Sydney and Brisbane.

Jo has a passion for capturing the simple life through simplistic and calming beach scenes, featuring famous beach pools from the Australian coast and painting glorious old school beach shacks.
