I am Immediate Past President of Busselton Camera Club and have travelled extensively pursuing my passion of using photography to try and capture both the inner and outer beauty of the world around me.
In May 2016, whilst expanding upon photographic tutorials that I run for the club, I found that there were many aspects of composition that kept referring back to painting and the great masters. That led me to discovering more about painting, so I thought that I would try my hand, never having done it before.
After a few weeks I decided to use acrylics. It has been an amazing ride thus far and each painting has been a challenge. The learning curve is steep and exciting with an ever increasing list of methods, tips and tricks that can be incorporated into each painting and I am finding that I cannot stop painting and trying to find my own style.
I have found that my friends and fellow artists within Busselton Art Society are a never-ending source of knowledge and inspiration.
