Group Information
The Albury Wodonga Artists Society (AWAS) is an incorporated society which was formed in 1987. AWAS is an enthusiastic and friendly society of about 100 members, constantly on the lookout for new ideas and offering a variety of tutoring in all mediums.
The aim of the society is to encourage members’ artistic talents, and share companionship and experience in a common endeavour.
They are conveniently located in the Arts Precinct on the Lincoln Causeway, between Albury and Wodonga.
The Society have their own modern studio which offers convenient facilities to all members, and is open to the public Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 4pm.

Membership Information
New members are enthusiastically welcomed, including beginners.
The society holds social meetings each month and all members are welcome to attend. Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month, at 12.30pm at their Paintbox Studio. Members can enjoy a pleasant day of painting and socializing with other members.
In addition, the group organize trips further afield to visit major art exhibitions in other locations.
Their annual membership fee is currently set at $100, normally payable at or soon after their AGM in October each year.
All members are encouraged to submit items for their exhibitions, many of which are specifically themed. Members are also required to man the studio by roster.

Exhibitions
Exhibitions are held throughout the year, both within their studio facilities, as well as at their gallery location at the Wodonga Plant Farm Gallery Cafe. To add further interest, many of their Exhibitions have a specific theme.
In addition to the above exhibitions, the group have a wide variety of art work continually on display in their studio which is available for sale to the public.

Workshops
An extensive range of activities are available to members, including a variety of demonstrations, workshops and field trips. Guest tutors (both local and national) are sourced to provide members with valuable learning experiences. In addition, the Society hold classes in various styles and mediums.
