Group Information
Located in Northam, the Avon Valley Art Society is the Wheatbelt's premier arts organisation. They cater to a large cross-section of the community and offer a wide range of arts activities.
The Art Society host the Northam Art Prize and the Society’s aims are to encourage and support local artists and cultural development activities.

Membership Information
New members are welcome. Current fees are;
- $40 per annum
- $50 family.
Monthly meetings are held and they have their annual general meeting in October. Last year they drew a great response from members.
The Society’s membership has increased over the years indicating that people are keen to see it grow.

Exhibitions
AVAS conducts a number of annual events including the Northam Art Prize, the Festival of Arts Eisteddfod and Youth Arts Week.
