Group Information
DVAA has been an Artist Run Initiative since 1983, who are dedicated to supporting the production, promotion and appreciation of visual art by local artists in all media. They further aim to increasing public awareness and audience participation in contemporary visual art in Darwin.
They currently have four affordable Artist Studios available for rent on six monthly basis.

Membership Information
DVAA offers a variety of professional development opportunities throughout each year and encourage their members and the wider arts community to get involved and volunteer.
Members have the opportunities to gain experience in many areas, including, the setting up of an exhibition, assisting at openings, gallery and design work and administration.
Membership also offers 10% discount at Jacksons Drawing Supplies and access to their library of contemporary art magazines, catalogues & books. Members also receive regular emails and newsletters to provide full information on the organization’s activities.
Membership fees;
Memberships cost is $45.00, or $30 for students / unwaged.

Exhibitions
Members have the opportunity exhibit in their art work in the Annual DVAA Members Show, and to submit a proposal for exhibitions held at the Woods Street Gallery or DEAF (Darwin Experimental Art Foundation).
