Group Information
The Henley and Grange Arts Society Inc. (HAGAS) was founded in 1966 and became an incorporated body in 1978. A group of former WEA students decided to form an art group of their own for the purpose of holding exhibitions and furthering art in the Henley and Grange area.
The Henley and Grange Arts Society Inc. is a community based, non-profit organisation administered by a committee of volunteers. HAGAS has over 150 financial members, and membership allows people to attend classes, demonstrations and workshops, borrow books from the dedicated arts library, exhibit in the club's gallery and participate in social activities.
Membership Information
Membership is only $45 per year. Members are entitled to attend classes, demonstrations, workshops and to use all the facilities of the society.
Members receive a quarterly newsletter with information of upcoming events, demonstrations and workshops and articles of interest from members.

Members are encouraged to exhibit their work in their Club Annual Exhibition and other exhibitions.

Workshops
Art classes are conducted by experienced artists tutoring in various medium. There also are demonstrations, workshops and social functions arranged by the committee for members and non-members alike.
Adult day and evening classes are conducted by experienced artists tutoring in various mediums; oil, watercolour, acrylic, pastel, pencils, pen and wash.
Ceramics classes are held in their own area complete with potters wheels and kilns.
The Club rooms include a purpose built art studio with high ceilings and large windows to let in natural light.
There are also two children’s classes for 5-13 year olds, tutoring art basics in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
