Group Information
The Mentone Mordialloc Art Group Inc. (MMAG) was formed in late 1956 by a small group of local artists.
Their current main objectives are to nurture an interest in art within the Mentone and surrounding areas community and to provide facilities for local artists to meet and work together.
Today the Group is a well-established, non-profit organisation catering for all ages and abilities from teens to retirees. Their Group have their own studio in Mentone which is conveniently located only 100 metres from the train and bus hub and also adjoins a large easy access car park.

Membership Information
The group offers members the opportunity to mix and make friends with a group of people who share the Love of Art! Membership benefits include:
- Bi-monthly newsletters.
- Discounts on art materials from several art suppliers.
- Non-tutorial groups - Life and Portrait.
- Thursday free painting time in the studio.
- Two or three exhibitions per year, plus a ‘Bargain Sale’ at end of year.
To become a member, contact the group or visit their studio on a Saturday morning. Full membership - $40 Concession and Seniors - $30
Events
Exhibitions
The Group hold up to three exhibitions each year for their members:
- an Autumn Members Exhibition
- a Spring Artists in Classes exhibition
- a Bargain Art Sale in December.
Tuition
Workshops
The Group offer a full calendar of activities and classes in a wide variety of mediums. They currently have 17 classes available with reasonable fees.
Classes, workshops and demonstration by well known tutors are available for members interested in learning painting and drawing techniques in a variety of mediums and styles.
Regular tutors include; Diana Casey, Colin Johnson, Linda Weil, Cathy van Ee and Clive Sinclair.
