Group Information
The Oatley 101 Society of Artists Inc. was inaugurated in October 1997 by six artists for the initial purpose of holding a monthly ‘gallery’ at which local artists would be invited to exhibit their work. It was named Gallery 101 Association.
In October 1998, the Gallery 101 Association became incorporated to meet the demands of the public and included Children’s Art Classes, Monthly Workshops, Demonstrations and a Life Drawing Group.
In 2000 the Association became the Oatley 101 Society of Artists Inc and now has approximately 180 members and continues to grow to meet the needs of artists in our community.
We were extremely proud, when in 2017, our Society won the Mark Coure MP, St George Community Award, which recognizes outstanding individuals and organisations in the St. George Area.
Oatley 101 Society of Artists is a Life Member of the Combined Art Societies of Sydney.

Membership Information
Membership forms can be downloaded from their website. Annual membership fee for new members is $35 and $30 per year for renewals.
Membership of the society gives you the opportunity to take part in all the society's activities at a reduced rate. Plus, financial members may submit their work to their 'Fabulous Fakes' Exhibition, their Annual 'Sale' Exhibition and their Annual Members’ Exhibition.
Members also have the opportunity to enter paintings in the Combined Art Societies of Sydney Annual 'Art of Sydney' Awards Exhibition.
Members can also enjoy discounts with Visual Arts Art Supplies, The Art Scene, and Eckersleys Art supplies.
New Members from beginners to experienced are very welcome.

Exhibitions
Oatley 101 presents 3 exhibitions each year showcasing high quality paintings for sale to the public. As a Life Member of Combined Art Societies of Sydney, our members also strongly support the annual Art of Sydney Awards Exhibition. 
June Half Price Exhibition held on the first weekend in June. Members Exhibition held in early September. Xmas Exhibition held in early December.
Tuition
Workshops
The Society holds regular art demonstrations and workshops by experienced artists in various media. Popular classes in oils, acrylics and mixed media.
