Group Information
The Shoalhaven Art Society was formed in 1963 to promote and foster an appreciation of fine arts, and recognition of the artist in the community.
The Society holds meetings, discussions, demonstrations, exhibitions, lectures, workshops, social functions, and other activities which can help achieve its objects.

Membership Information
We meet on the first Tuesday in each month at the West Street Nowra Community Centre, 23 West Street, Nowra.
All members are welcome and encouraged to attend the demonstration meetings, which are a pleasant social gathering as well as an important help in artistic development; there are always interesting demonstrations and valuable discussions. Visitors are also welcome.

Exhibitions
The Society organizes regular exhibitions which have been successful with a good number of sales.
Each year there is a major open exhibition with significant prizes, and entries come from many parts of New South Wales and some other States. Smaller, members-only, exhibitions are also held. There is also a standing exhibition in the Shoalhaven Hospital, which is changed over every few months.
The Art Society's next event will be their 55th Annual Open Art Exhibition from 11th September to 2nd October, 2021.
