Group Information
The Trigg Art Club was the first art club to be formed North of the Swan River in Perth.
In 1969 Lola McCue and a group of like-minded local artists decided to form a club and exhibit some of their art. Lola's husband Tom McCue was the clubs first President.
The first art exhibition was held in the Old Surf Club Hall. The McCue's and other club members had children in the TISLSC and the decision was made to donate the profits from the art club's exhibitions to the surf club to help purchase equipment needed to train surf club members. 50 years later and this is still the objective of the art club.

Membership Information
Initially, membership was restricted to artist living within 5 miles of Trigg. The art club has 100 members and there is no longer a restriction on where a member lives.
Members are from all areas of Perth who work in various media. From members starting out on their art journey to the highly accomplished, all are welcome.
Meetings are held in the surf club hall on the third Friday of the month at 9.30 am. An artist is invited to each meeting to give a demonstration; media is varied to cover everyone's interest. Visitors are always welcome entry fee is $7 which covers tea/coffee.

Exhibitions
Art exhibitions are held annually or bi-annually and profits are donated to the surf club.
In 2017 the art club donated $4705.00 to the surf club for the purchase of a Resuscitation Manikin.
Tuition
Workshops
The group get together the 3rd Friday of each month in the clubrooms of the Trigg Surf Club 10am-12pm. A brief meeting is followed by a demonstration by guest artist .
