Group Information
The Warrnambool and District Artists' Society (WADAS) was formed in 1961, and has been a major force in the development of local artists' talent, enabling them to exhibit their work to the public at various sites around Warrnambool as well as at the Society's Gallery. The Society also runs workshops and provides occasions for the artists to work together and discuss techniques and materials.

Membership Information
The Society hold regular monthly meetings on the first Wednesday of the month at their Gallery, with guest speakers, demonstrations, critique sessions & other art related activities.
New members are welcome. Application for Membership forms can be downloaded from their website.
To become a member, it should be noted that members are expected to participate in the running of the group, its functions, and make themselves available for hall duties or rosters.
Events
Exhibitions
The Society has a continuous exhibition of members' works at their Merri View Gallery, in South Warrnambool. The Exhibitions are open to the public at weekends, Saturday from 10:30am to 3pm and Sunday from 11:00am to 3pm.
The exhibits are completely changed several times each year.
The Society’s Annual Awards Exhibition is held around the middle of each year which runs for two weeks.
The Society also exhibits at a number of public outlets around Warrnambool.

Many workshops, paint-out days & tutors have been enjoyed over the years.
