|Artist Name:||Ainslie Gilles-Patel|
|Usual Style:||Contemporary Realist|
A dedicated and self-motivated artist and photographer of the horse, I have been creating my artistry for over 20 years and counting. Through my hands and heart, I strive for the deep connection and need for horses I have had all my life to come through my art and photography. I hope to imbue emotion, skill and self-expression in each piece of original art I make and although I do not wish to create a traditional horse portrait, I do believe in correct anatomy. I have created my own unique and distinctive artistic style, but I am always willing and excited to learn, experiment, challenge myself and set in my sights to become a Master Artist of the horse.
I work as a full-time, professional artist in my home studio in Adelaide and feel privileged to be able to follow my dreams and goals as an artist. I proudly sell my original pieces to buyers and collectors both within Australia and overseas. I currently do not offer prints of my work in order to keep my pieces one-off, collectible and valuable to each of my wonderful buyers.
My photography can be seen around the Net and since 2008, when I went digital (camera) my photography has been used extensively by artists from all over the world.
I can be followed on social media: www.facebook.com/ainsliegillespatel and www.instagram.com/ainsliegillespatel and have an up-to-date website: www.ainsliegillespatel.wix.com/ainsliegillespatel .
Influences and Inspiration
I am inspired and influenced by so much, I don't know where to begin! Mother Nature provides my inspiration; many well-known artists, (Monet, Degas, Klimt) and other artists such as Pauline Stasikowska, Lian Meaney and Tahnja Wolter and of all subject matters, not just equine art. Music, reading and writing fuel my creativity as does my love for exercising, gardening, going to the beach and wandering around the Adelaide Hills.

I am a member of The Art Network, a new art group in Adelaide, started by artist Lynne Hawkins (www.theartnetwork.com.au).
