Background

 I have been interested in art from a young age.  But the opportunity to dabble only came when I retired from the paid workforce.  One term in an “absolute” beginners’ class encouraged me to put pencil to paper and was enough to point me in a new direction.

In 2008, I enrolled in a drawing course with Springwood Community Art Centre and my tutors helped me hone my drawing skills and also introduced me to different mediums: graphite, coloured pencil, watercolours, pen and wash and pastels.

The next four years was a time spent learning pastel techniques.  My favourite subject is animals, especially dogs. To capture their personalities either through their body language or through their expressive eyes gives me pleasure. Commissions are welcome.

However, my love of graphite as returned and I’m using this medium to draw children from around the world.
