Background
Inspired and influenced by our environment and human emotion this self taught artist is on a path of discovery and insight. Colourful and yet sometimes subdued- paintings of all sizes…. acrylic, oil or sometimes a mixed media process depending on subject matter or expression felt. While experimenting with various mediums allowing imagination and creativity to unfold and combine in the expression of 2 and 3 dimensional art. Combining discarded remnants with new. Constantly changing, to explore and challenge the use of texture, light, shape, form and image to allow emotion to flow through. Sculpture created in various rock, timber, copper, steel and glass. Whatever the subject matter or the medium it is challenging and inspirational. To sense is to SEE! No boundaries.
Drawing from life experiences, Dawn often uses her work to communicate ideas of human nature, emotion, expression and embrace. Including creating pieces inspired by the natural environment, Dawn utilises diverse mediums to showcase her opinions abstractly.
