He has also run Plein Air Painting trips and outdoor activities for the Victorian Artists Society among many other duties and events.
All subject matter, whether it’s portraiture, the human figure, still life and floral studies or landscapes are all painted directly from life in a tonal realist style. Greg strongly believes that true light and colour can only be achieved by painting from life and reinforces this belief in teaching painting skills to his dedicated students through visual knowledge.
As a student himself he studied under Graham Moore, Shirley Bourne and Maxwell Wilks and has today refined his own beliefs and principals of which he freely shares with his students and those he mentors.
