From an early age I’ve been interested in capturing the beauty of nature through the medium of painting. It was this passion that drove me to attend Arts College and later study History of Art at University.
My primary media is oil on canvas, however I am fascinated by watercolour and sketching and pursue a multitude of subject matter inspired by the beauty of the Australian landscapes. The amazing light and colours in the surrounding nature in the ACT/NSW region with the abundance of graceful, colourful birds and unique animals inform my subject matter.
My studies exposed me to various expressions of art throughout the centuries, which I have appropriated to form the core of my own practice.
After completing my studies my practice was pushed to the side as family life become my focus. However, in recent years I have been fortunate enough to return to the arts world and devote myself to painting. I am member of Canberra Art Society ASOC and Queanbeyan Art Society QAS and regularly take part in exhibitions organised by those Societies.
