Background

I am a contemporary Australian artist based in Murwillumbah in the Tweed Valley of Northern NSW. I work primarily in acrylic on canvas and create realistic paintings across a diverse range of subjects, including equine and wildlife, people, portraits and landscapes.

My work is characterised by close observation, attention to detail and a strong interest in capturing the character and individuality of my subjects. My inspiration comes from my experiences, travels and lifelong appreciation of the natural world, people and the places around me. I enjoy exploring a variety of subjects and bringing them to life through realistic painting.

Influences and Inspiration

My inspiration comes from the world around me — from people, animals, landscapes, travel and the natural environment. I am influenced by the work of artists who demonstrate strong observation, realism, detail and an ability to capture the character and individuality of their subjects. My own experiences and travels continue to inspire me to explore a diverse range of subjects through painting.

Qualifications

I began formal art studies in 2018 and took regular Saturday morning art classes for four years. I have continued to develop my skills through ongoing studio practice, exhibitions, commissions and independent study.
