June grew up on a cattle property near a small country town called Mount Perry, located in the north Burnett Region of South Eastern Queensland, north west of Brisbane.
Inspired by the natural beauty surrounding her, the Australian landscape became the inspiration and drive for her to communicate life’s impressions through the medium of paint rather than words. This hunger to express a never ending supply of real life stories become her unquenchable passion. Her desire to open her mind, heart and insight in a way not explored before.
Her work has now become her way of communicating to those interested in the intimate reactions to nature, life and the world we live in.
McCotter’s works have hung in New York at the Chelsea’s Agora Gallery along with exhibitions across the UK and Europe.
Her paintings are currently displayed in a large area towards the back of the Big Pineapple Auditorium which is open 7 days a week.
