|Artist Name:||Kate Dayman|
Kate Dayman is an Australian who has been living in Italy for the past 30 years. Her father, Lyle Dayman, who is currently living in Adelaide, has been painting and drawing for many years and inspired Kate to take up painting herself. Initially drawing and painting in watercolours, Kate found the medium very difficult to handle. With her father’s encouragement to practice and learn the skills of drawing and painting, she followed a video Course by Betty Edwards, and has since found that watercolour has now become her passion.
With endless inspiration surrounding her in the beautiful small town of Bosa on the west coast of Sardinia, where Kate resides, she paints everyday creating lively colourful landscapes in her own unique style of painting.
Apart from painting, Kate also enjoys Nordic walking in Sardinia and often goes fishing. She intends to return to Adelaide in the near future to be with her family, and to get some direct tuition from her father, rather than his current assistance via Skype.
Kate is predominately self taught but is also learning through video courses and training by her father.
She is currently exhibiting her work locally in Italy.
