Background

Kathy is an Artist, Applied and Finished Artist (Graphic Art), and Sculptor.  After starting her career in art at the age of only 16, she has since progressed even further to become a well-established artist and sculptor. Kathy loves to try any medium and has thus sculpted in various types of stone, marble and bronze.

She loves painting in watercolours, oils and acrylics, and has just taken up airbrushing again after many years. Kathy joined the Sunbury Arts Society in 2012 after completing several commissioned pieces of art.

Her artistic style is generally realism and nature inspired. Drawing from her surroundings she is able to fully capture the beauty that is hidden within the Macedon Ranges and beyond.

Design Experience -
Designed & produced art for Department of Defence, Armstrong’s Advertising agency and then for a local primary school producing grade 6 jackets 2003 – 2012, numerous catalogues, letterheads,  logos, illustrated five children’s books amongst other things.

Qualifications

Applied and Finished Artist - A two and a half year Graphic art course completed in 1985, resulting in a job offer three months before completing my course. Commenced working for the Dept of Defence as a Graphic Artist on completion of my course.

She is a current member of the Macedon Ranges Art Group, Sunbury Art Society, the Romsey Art Group and Macedon Ranges Art Trail.
