Background

I am an "Outsider" artist, with my work focussed on abstract expressionism ​

I mostly work with acrylic paint on canvas. One of the things I really like about abstract expressionism is its mutability factor. I might have something in mind that I’m going to paint, but then spontaneity and intuition take over and the existential experience means that the painting reveals its own secret, intimate story. And the outcome is generally much better than the original idea would have been.

I have worked professionally in many creative areas. For over 35 years I have been a producer and director of both feature films and documentary films, winning numerous awards. I have been previously recognized by the UK Platinum Guild as one of the UK’s top jewellery designers, and I am also a published author of both fiction and non-fiction.

I was born in London, England, and have also lived in the USA and France. I am now an Australian citizen and live in Sydney, where I have been included in various group exhibitions.
