ARTIST STATEMENT
I love colour and texture and I’m inspired by the land and nature. Each new work reveals its own tendencies, surprises and spontaneity as it comes to life. Rather than recreating a subject, I aim to express its essence to capture the richness through different elements & techniques.
Recently I have enjoyed working with oils, oil sticks, pigments and cold wax, putting layer on layer and then carving, scratching and scraping back into those layers to reveal hidden surprises, creating different textures,….exploring & experimenting.
