Background

I’m 63 years old. Now I’m retired I paint every single day and would describe myself as a prolific artist working mainly in mixed media.

I couple of years ago, I discovered the pleasure of making my own papers, using a gelli plate and also by dissolving magazine pictures.

I work on paper and canvas, creating many layers of paint and paper, rubbing and scratching back to reveal the substrate.

My inspiration comes from the West Australian landscape and the plants and animals that inhabit it.

I’m interested in the symbols and images that surface from our dreams and like to interpret and represent these in my artwork.

I belong to the Trigg Art Club and also the Art with Heart art space, both Perth clubs.
