Background
Yvonne was raised at Quakers Hill and desired to be an artist at an early age, but had no opportunities. However working in Pottery decorating and Millinery satisfied her creative spirit. After raising a family and working outside the home for 30 years she took up painting in the mid 1980’s and achieved painting and drawing certificates at Penrith TAFE. She now works in Oils, Acrylics, Pastels, Watercolour and mixed media in both Traditional and modern styles.
She lives in the Hawkesbury district where there is great scenery, which she loves to paint en-plein air and has been on many painting trips in Australia and overseas. Other favourite subjects are Birds and Flowers, which she produces mostly in watercolour.
Exhibitions:
Yvonne exhibits in metropolitan and country shows and the Royal Agricultural Show each year.
Art Work in Private Collections:
Her works have been acquired by the Housing Industry Association, Lexus Car Company and Paris Café, Parramatta. Private collections are also held throughout Australia, USA and the UK.
