Background:

Gordon Rossiter has been painting professionally since 1987, he is an also an accomplished art judge and tutor and has won many awards for his work.

His work has been described as impressionistic and true to the subject, much of his painting is done on site and larger work often evolves from these studies.

“I’m not trying to capture a scene photo-realistically,” he said, “I’m attempting to create the atmosphere and feel of a place with paint on canvas, when this happens I think the painting is a success.”

Gordon also welcomes commissioned work.  Many people have a place that is special to them and would like to have a painting of that place.  A commissioned painting can be done from a photograph or on site.
