Workshop Description:

Jenny will be conducting another watercolour workshop in Kandos through the Combined Art Societies of Sydney, and once again this workshop can be booked for the 4 day period from the 21st to 24th May, or you may select just one day.

Jenny will guide you through the process of outdoor landscape painting to capture the beautiful Autumn colours.  Although plein-air is the main focus, the workshop will only be outdoors if the weather permits, otherwise the classes will be held in the spacious well equipped studio.

Instructor Background:

Jenny Macnaughton was born in Sydney and attended East Sydney Technical College in a course of survey drafting and worked for some years as a tracer-draughtswoman. She has been actively painting in oils since 1971 and diversified to watercolours in 1981. She attended Willandra Art School for tuition in watercolours.

She is an exhibiting member of the Royal Art Society of NSW, The Watercolour Society of Victoria and is active in the arts community of Mudgee.

Jenny is a much sought after tutor for workshops and has been teaching for over forty years.

Jenny exhibits her work throughout Australia and has gained many awards with the latest being a Highly Commended at the Sydney Royal Easter Show 2024.  Her many exhibitions have been in Canberra, Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne, Rockhampton, Dorrigo and Inverell.

She has written two books, “Capturing Australian Light in Watercolour’ and ‘Watercolour Flowers, Fast, Fresh and Free” and regularly contributed articles to Australian Artist Magazine and Artists Palette.

Three instructional DVD’s were produced with the help of her late husband, David and are still available.
