About This Painting:
This pastel painting was painted with a variety of different pastels using vigorous mark making to create a dynamic painting full of energy and movement. By painting on black paper I am able to really enhance the lemon yellows to create a sun soaked afternoon scene.
Inspiration
This is a beautiful memory of our many camping trips in the Grampians when our children were small. The youngest and I would walk up the track discovering many finds along the way whilst collecting firewood for our evening dinner and roasted marshmallows.
