About This Painting:
An original artwork on black Mi-Teintes TEX pastel paper using Artist's quality pastel pencils. Pastel on black paper is vibrant and rich. Two of my favourite materials to work with!
Inspiration
This piece was heavily influenced by Paulina Stasikowska- an artist I deeply admire.
I wanted to create the feeling of warm/cool colours and interestingly, I titled the artwork one week before the horrific Paris terrorist attack in 2015. An artist's intuition, perhaps? Reference photo credit goes to MET Photography and used with permission.
