About This Painting:
An imagination-enhanced view of a real part of the forest, based on a photograph I took on visiting far north Queensland in 2014. I have added details appropriate to the area, but which were not in the scene at the time of photographing it. There are, apart from the three very visible butterflies, six other creatures semi-hidden in the painting.
Inspiration
Forests are the inspiration. When I am there, I am more than there. I am part of every forest that ever existed. It is my delight to pay a small homage to this great feeling, by capturing what I can, for others to see.
