About This Painting:
Stylised cityscape looking out to sea at sundown, with a brightly coloured hot air balloon and some people looking up at it.
Inspiration
I was composing a scene with building-like columns, and decided to give it an atmosphere of the afterglow when the sun has just disappeared. Though the shapes are stylised and the colours unusual, the main effect is something we can relate to, and is also tranquil.
