About This Painting:
Painted in oils. I firstly completed it in 2012 and then decided to make changes to it in June, 2016. I intensified colours in various parts and increased the size of the foreground rocky platform.
Inspiration
Our holiday in central Australia in 2012. Our visit to The Breakaways, S.A. gave me, perhaps, the most outstanding memories of all the memorable landforms that we saw. If one goes there, you must go in early morning or late afternoon to view the glorious colours. They are lost in the middle of the day. It is in a double gold frame that can be seen in the additional image.
