About This Painting:
Painted with a small flat brush and a fine-tipped round brush. Done in several stages, with about one week drying time in between. Some glazing, where the paint was thinned with linseed oil only. Used no other mediums. The oil paper is marvellous, not a shred of oil comes through on the back. Could be framed like a watercolour.
Inspiration
I worked (very loosely) from a photo I took of a pond on our travels last year. There's more artistic licence than paint in this one. Did a lot of adjusting of composition and colours.
