About This Print:
I use experimental printmaking techniques full of vibrant colours and movement which bring to life imaginary and real marine creatures, in this case a squid. Marine life is one of the resources that cannot be restored easily once the damage has been done. I want to raise awareness about the importance of natural-resource-conservation by illustrating how beautiful and precious marine life can be. Sometimes, as humans we forget this and take it for granted. I dream of the day humans can live in harmony with nature, as an ecosystem, a marine ecosystem.”
Inspiration
Camilo's style is mostly contemporary, with elements of impressionism and modernism. It is a constant evolution of colourful hues and tones that entice the eye of the viewer to see beyond. His oil paintings are full of textures and layers, some people can't resist to touch them, they say "it's like 3D".
