About This Sculpture:
Soldier from the last post sculpted out of one continuous piece of wire, mounted into a rock. Granite stone as backdrop to capture the wire reflection. Hand made poppies.
ANZAC theme at the show. I wanted to show my respect for all whom were affected by the war especially the soldiers. I feel the last post signifies this greatly. Sculpting out of the wire can be viewed in many ways allowing people to draw their own thoughts on the matter, the wire casts a shadow when the light hits it, it can form a quiet large impression on to a surface that can cause to viewer to reflect upon it.
