The Queanbeyan Art Society is a non-profit organisation. Their venue for the Society is a charming 1880's brick cottage called O'Neil's Cottage which is set on the banks of the Queanbeyan River.
The Society is a non-profit organisation which holds art exhibitions, competitions and classes.
The Society also have their own gallery which is open to the public seven days a week.
The Society currently has over 300 members. Monthly newsletters are produced to keep members updated on news and activities. At the end of the year a Calendar is produced representing one member's painting and the winners of each monthly exhibition.
Full single memberhsip $40 per annum.
$25 for new members joining from 1 January each year.
$15 friend of the Art Society (non-exhibiting/painting).
The Queanbeyan Art Society hold many exhibitions throughout each year, most of which are open to members only, and a few open to all artists. View our website for full details on our events.
Art classes are held on weekdays, weekends and evenings. They cover all mediums and some specialise in a particular subject matter. A relaxed and supportive environment is encouraged and they welcome students of all levels. Tuition costs are minimal.
In addition to the regular art classes, visiting professional tutors conduct workshops throughout the year.
