Inspiration

This painting was influenced by naturally-occurring phenomena although I didn’t have a plan in mind — I was following the rhythm of motion and contrast, watching how each mark changed the balance of the painting. For me, this work became a study in the vitality and impermanence of nature — how energy moves through space and then dissolves, leaving only a trace of what was once alive and urgent. In some sense, the painting is about energy itself — the way it disperses, collides, and leaves traces in its wake.
