About This Painting:

The palette is saturated with dense greens, aqueous blues, and flashes of cadmium reds and muted pinks, creating a chromatic ecosystem that feels at once terrestrial and liminal. The surface is worked in layered gestures, building up a tactile, almost geological skin—each mark a residue of decision, hesitation, and revision. Here, abstraction is not escape but excavation: of memory, terrain, and embodied sensation.

Inspiration

In this work I explore the visceral dialogue between movement and matter, invoking a visual topography that resists fixed interpretation. A sinuous, almost calligraphic line courses vertically through the composition, operating as both a rupture and a connective spine—suggestive of a riverine path, a fault line, or an abstracted spine of the landscape.

There is an implicit tension between structure and organic sprawl, between flow and interruption. This painting is less a depiction than a field of sensation—an invitation to inhabit the interstitial spaces where form dissolves into feeling, and where the viewer’s gaze becomes an act of navigation.
